The Herb Club

In March 2021 Paulene was approached by The Herb Club in Jeffreys Bay asking her if she would like to do a presentation explaining to their members the work done by Spay It Forward. Paulene was accompanied by 3 volunteers,  Barbara, Colleen and Avril, Joy from SPCA Assisi Humansdorp and of course, her dog Oscar. Oscar is a Schnauzer cross adopted from the SPCA 6 years ago, he was the star of the show, patient, obedient and completely enjoying the attention.

The members of The Herb Club were very interested to hear how so many cats, dogs, strays and ferals are brought into the SPCA where their amazing vet, Dr Kriel ,sterilises and helps recovery of all the animals successfully prevented from further breeding. Joy explained how both these organisations work together for the good of animals, how the situation has improved since Spay It Forward was established and how members of the public can help.

It was a very successful day,  questions and answers followed and donations were happily received, wonderful sponsorship was instigated and Spay It Forward are truly grateful to The Stretch Foundation for their generous monthly assistance.

The interesting talk was rounded off with Certificates of Appreciation where Spay It Forward volunteers were presented with the certificates in acknowledgment of the work they do for the organisation. From left to right; Barbara Barnard, Paulene Hardy, Colleen Sherren and Avril Tonks.
